The TailBite Manager interface is divided in four parts:
Command line options: These options are used when you process a file from TailBite Manager. If you click on the 'Save' button below, these functions will be used when calling TailBite from the IDE as well.
Prompt confirm on deletion of previous library with the same name: if checked, TailBite will ask you before deleting an existing library with the same name.
Don't build library, only source files: only the ASM files and .Desc file will be created.
Keep source files after making the library: if checked, the intermediate ASM files used to build the library will be copied to the 'Asm source files' folder below. By default, they are deleted.
Hide TailBite window: if checked the TailBite window won't be shown when calling TailBite, so you won't see the status text nor you'll be able to cancel the process, so it's not recommended to check this option.
Generate build batch file: if the Keep source files after making the library option is checked, TailBite will generate a batch file in the library source folder to allow fast rebuilding which, anyway, you can do more easyly with TailBite itself (processing the .Desc file).
Folders: In this part, you can configure several parameters which TailBite uses:
PureBasic folder: here you can select the PureBasic folder which TailBite will use to call several programs (PBCompiler, lcclib, FAsm and Library Maker).
Asm source files folder: intermediate ASM source files will be copied here if the Keep source files after making the library option is checked.
PureBasic menu hot key: here you can change the hot key used by the PureBasic IDE to call TailBite. Remember to click on the 'Save' button below to save changes.
TailBite console: you can use TailBite from this console, specially if you want to process a .Desc file or make a resident file.
Select source file: this is the file to be processed (PureBasic code or .Desc file). If you click on 'Pick current', the active source file path of the PureBasic IDE will be copied to the folder field. NOTE: you should first save that source from the IDE.
Make library: when clicked, TailBite is launched to process the selected PureBasic or .Desc file and make a library with the selected options.
Check for errors: the file is passed to the PureBasic compiler to check if there are errors in the source code (therefore, do not use it with .Desc files).
Control buttons: the buttons below, that is:
Check for updates: TailBite manager will launch the TailBite updater (make sure you're connected to Internet before clicking) to check if there are new updates for TailBite. TailBite manager will be shutdown and relaunched after updating.
Extract TailBite sources: the TailBite sources will be extracted from the 'src.pack' file, which must be in the TailBite folder.
Help: open this help file.
Save: save current options.
